Section 03 · #eula
End-User License Agreement (EULA)
This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a binding legal agreement between you (either an individual operator or a commercial entity) and Ghost OS LLC d/b/a GHOST Inc. governing your download, installation, microSD boot, NAND flash installation, or operation of Ghost Shell firmware and associated utilities.
1. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this EULA, GHOST Inc. grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and execute Ghost Shell firmware images on supported Z-series Equihash (200,9) ASIC miners (Z15, Z15 Pro, Z15j, Z15e, Z15k, Z11, Z9, and Z9 Mini across control boards C55, C52, C43, Z15k 18-Chip CB, and CTRL_C74) that you lawfully own or are authorized to operate.
2. License Restrictions & Integrity of Safety/Fee Routines
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, patch, or modify the proprietary Ghost Shell autotune engine, telemetry HUD, or closed-loop thermal/electrical safety governor binaries, except to the extent such restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law or governed by an open-source license in Section 9.
You may not bypass, spoof, redirect, block, or tamper with the integrated 2.5% developer fee routing or partner entitlement verification mechanisms.
You may not redistribute modified Ghost Shell images or misrepresent third-party firmware builds as official GHOST Inc. releases. Always verify release archives against the published SHA-256 checksums on ghost.inc.
3. Non-Destructive microSD Boot vs. Internal NAND Flash
Ghost Shell supports both non-destructive microSD card boot (which runs in RAM without altering factory NAND storage) and optional permanent internal NAND flash installation. You are solely responsible for maintaining uncorrupted power and network stability during any NAND flashing or stock firmware restoration procedure.
4. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS") & Limitation of Liability
THE GHOST SHELL SOFTWARE, FIRMWARE IMAGES, STOCK RECOVERY ARCHIVES, AND DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GHOST OS LLC D/B/A GHOST INC., ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, ENGINEERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY HARDWARE DAMAGE, SILICON DEGRADATION, PSU FAILURE, FACILITY ELECTRICAL FAULT, DOWNTIME, OR LOST ZEC/USD MINING REVENUE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE GHOST SHELL.
Section 04 · #terms
Terms of Service & Governing Law
By accessing https://ghost.inc, downloading documentation or archives from /library/, or using our machine-readable specifications under /agents/, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Lawful Operation: You represent and warrant that your operation of cryptocurrency mining hardware and software complies with all applicable local, state, federal, and international electrical codes, utility tariffs, sanctions, and regulations in your jurisdiction.
External Ecosystem Links: Links in our Community and Zcash History sections (including third-party wallets, exchanges, mining pools, block explorers, and manufacturer specifications) are provided strictly for informational reference and do not constitute an endorsement, warranty, or custody guarantee by GHOST Inc.
Governing Law & Venue: These Terms, the EULA, and any dispute arising out of or relating to Ghost Shell or ghost.inc shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in or serving Sheridan County, Wyoming, after providing 30 days' written notice of the dispute to [email protected] or by mail to Ghost OS LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
IMPORTANT INDUSTRIAL HARDWARE NOTICE: Z-series Equihash ASIC miners (Z15, Z15 Pro, Z15j, Z15e, Z15k, Z11, Z9, and Z9 Mini) are high-current industrial electrical machines. Operating custom firmware, per-chip autotuning, or elevated clock/voltage presets carries inherent thermal and electrical risks.
1. 80% NEC Continuous PSU Load Derating & 200–240V AC Requirements
80% Continuous Load Rule: In accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) continuous-load standards, always maintain continuous wall power draw at or below 80% of the rated capacity of your power supply unit (PSU), power cords, PDU outlets, and branch circuit breakers.
Z15-Series High-Frequency PSU Sizing: On 1,600 W rated PSUs (such as an APW3++ operating on 200–240V AC), sustained overclocking above 815–825 MHz pushes PSU load above 94%. For high-frequency Z15 profiles (830–900 MHz drawing 1,530–1,660 W), you must use an 1,800 W+ rated 200–240V AC PSU (such as APW7, APW9+, APW12, or an enterprise server PSU). For 18-chip Z15k and Z15 Pro units drawing 2,480–2,910 W, use dedicated 220–277V AC high-amperage circuits and appropriately rated 3,000 W+ PSUs.
Harness & Terminal Inspection: Always inspect 6-pin PCIe power connectors, PSU cables, and hashboard power terminals before enabling high-output presets. Never operate a miner with discolored, melted, loose, or oxidized connectors.
2. OEM Warranty Notice & Assumption of Risk
OEM Warranty Impact: Installing third-party firmware or operating ASICs outside factory clock and voltage specifications may void your original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or reseller warranty.
Software Guardrails vs. Physical Protection: While Ghost Shell incorporates closed-loop fan control, per-chip frequency step-downs on hardware-error spikes, missing-sensor halts, and an 85 °C emergency thermal cutoff latch, software controls supplement—and never replace—physical facility circuit breakers, intake air filtration, and proper hot/cold aisle containment. You assume full responsibility for all hardware wear, ASIC degradation, PSU failure, and facility safety.
No Financial, Investment, or Mining Return Guarantee
All hashrate, power, and efficiency figures published on ghost.inc, in our PDF Bench Verification Reports, and in our AI Agent Specifications—including laboratory measurements such as +14.5% (480.8 kSol/s at 3.40 J/kSol) on Z15, +11.9% (940.0 kSol/s) on Z15 Pro, +29.4% (414.0 kSol/s at -36 W lower power) on Z15j, +28.2% (256.4 kSol/s) on Z15e, +14.3% (600.0 kSol/s) on Z15k, +18.3% (159.7 kSol/s) and 8/9-chip degraded-board rescue on Z11, +32.2% sustained (55.5 kSol/s) on Z9, and +59.6% sustained (16.0 kSol/s) on Z9 Mini—are historical technical measurements recorded on specific test hardware under controlled laboratory conditions.
No Financial or Investment Advice: Nothing on ghost.inc constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, nor a solicitation to purchase cryptocurrency or mining equipment.
Variable Mining Economics: Actual hashrate, wall power draw, and ZEC or USD mining returns vary significantly based on individual ASIC silicon lottery ("binning"), board age, PSU conversion efficiency, ambient intake air temperature, elevation, Zcash network difficulty, block subsidies and halvings, mining pool luck and payout models (PPS/PPLNS), electricity rates ($/kWh), and the volatile market price of ZEC. Past benchmark performance does not guarantee future profitability.
Section 07 · #fee-disputes
Developer Fee Disclosure & Billing Terms
Ghost Shell is distributed with zero upfront license cost, zero per-rig activation keys, and zero recurring monthly subscriptions. Instead, Ghost Shell uses a transparent, pay-as-you-hash commercial model:
Standard 2.50% Developer Fee: During active mining operation, Ghost Shell allocates a transparent 2.50% (250 basis points) of mining work to GHOST Inc. development pools. The active fee percentage is displayed openly in the Ghost Shell Web UI HUD.
Partner Referral & Fleet Discounts: Operators who apply an active Partner Referral or Fleet Entitlement code in the Web UI receive a reduced developer fee between 1.75% and 2.00%. Request a partner referral code →
Continuous Thermal Stability: Devfee work is scheduled seamlessly without stopping ASIC clocks or cycling domain voltages, eliminating the thermal expansion stress caused by legacy stop-and-start fee switchers.
Fee Inquiries & Billing Questions: If you have questions regarding pool compatibility, devfee telemetry, or fleet entitlement codes, contact [email protected] with your miner diagnostics bundle.
